We have adopted semi permanent water distribution system for crops. The idea is to avoid un-necessary flooding/run-off. The blue lines shown inside the farm area is where the fixed (permanent) water pipeline has been deployed. There are outlets at regular intervals of 200-250ft. To these outlets we connect modular/movable pipes and raingun to cover the entire area effectively.

The raingun is a very large sprinkler with coverage area of 120ft radius. This is a very effective solution to conserve water and minimize labour especially when there is a need to water crops like groundnut.
